Ali Larijani’s message on the occasion of the first anniversary of Mina stampede during hajj rituals of 2015 offered condolences to the families of victims; “the first anniversary of the incident is the source of grief for the families of innocent hajj pilgrims who had been the victim of Saudi incompetence and mismanagement in the land of the peace for Muslims; Saudis have proved to be unfit to handle so large a congregation as hajj; the world of Islam and international human rights organizations should attend to calls of their conscience and to watch closely the establishment of Mina fact-finding committee,” the message read. “Foreign Ministry should also closely pursue legal and political aspects of the issue in international courts.”
“Young, ambitious, and unexperienced rulers of the Saudi Arabia had been the epitome of failure in misguided invasion of Yemen, fostering Takfirist terrorists and for their covert and overt ties to Zionist regime; their very callousness and imbecility had jeopardized the quiddity of Islam,” the message concluded.
